Submission Guidelines...


Thank you for considering HAWK Publishing! The best way to learn what interests us is to read the books we've published in the past.

Please do not call to ask for information about submitting manuscripts. Everything you need to know is right here. Also, please do not request a meeting with any of the HAWK editors; while we would love to meet you, time constraints simply make it impossible. You may wish to consider attending the annual HAWK Writing Workshop, which will give you an opportunity to meet HAWK personnel and learn more about the company, while also gaining insight on writing and publishing.

At this time, we are only accepting submissions by email at wb@hawkpub.com. Send a short synopsis and bio, including any prior publishing credits or relevant credentials. Please note that at this time we are not looking for individual poems, short stories or collections of short stories, picture, children's or young adult books. Please also note that we are a regional press and are primarily interested in authors living in Oklahoma and the surrounding areas. Security concerns make it impossible for us to open attachments, so please put your submissions in the text of the email.

Our current policy is to reply only if we are interested, so if you have not heard from us within six weeks after your submission, you may safely assume that we were not able to find a place for it on our list. We gladly accept simultaneous submissions, but please do not trouble us with mass emails to a long list of publishers. If you are not familiar with HAWK or have a specific reason why you think we would be an appropriate publisher for your project, you are unlikely to place anything with us.
